She is doing drugs and having a lot of sex with anybody. She says it's all in fun, but she's back talking to her parents and saying stuff like they don't know what they're talking about. When really, they know what's best.

You might want to talk to her about what she wants to do in the future. I.E. if she ever wants kids, some of those STD's can make that impossible.

How do i stop my 2 cockatiels from making a high pitched screech?
Before u all say it, yes i know birds sqwuak, its what they do. That's ok, but they've developed an incredibly loud and very 'high' pitched screech to demand to be let out of their cage, anytime of the day. These birds are exceptionally spoilt- get lots of attention, spend half the day out- 1 bird actually puts herself back in the cage when she's had enough (when they're quiet, otherwise straight back in their cage), have plenty of toys and perches in their cage, get fresh food and water every day. We've tried squirting them with water when they do the demanding sqwuak, that didn't work. For a while now I've just been ignoring them, covering the cage up when they screech and uncovering them and giving them attention when they are quiet. That worked for a while but now they screech reguardlessif they're covered or not.
They're both girls, very attached to us and have been hand reared.
We have a baby on the way and are hoping to stop the behaviour before bub comes. Any ideas?How do i stop my 2 cockatiels from making a high pitched screech?

Sometimes these kids just don't behave LOL I have 2 ages 15 and 17 and they still do screech but what i do is put a light cover over their cage and play some music they like near their cage to distract from the screeching. Water doesn't work cause they like it. It will take time and remember it has been proven they have the intellect of a 3 year old human child. mine are the same as yours out when they desire and loved and pampered dearly but be careful what music you play for them my oldest now mimics the andy griffith theme song lol. the only other option i use is a time out in a different dark room to let them know schreeching is a unaccpatble behaviour good luck patience will pay off
we usually put the telly on - not that it always works! Ours is just coming up for 2yrs now and he screams whenever we leave the room and doesn't stop until someone is in the room with him - he's an angel at night and sleeps well but is a little devil in the morning and plays at being an alarm clock! Have to be honest with you, when they develop an attachment, they are going to want you around the whole time, and these birds dooo have a rather high-pitched screech at times and if you're gonna make them part of the family, guess you just have to grin and bear it same as the rest of us nutters! :)

This could be a clue as to why you are the janitor. Grow up a little and perhaps you can increase your career opportunities.

First of all this is hilarious. haha. But i would try dumping glass cleaner or some kind of strong cleaner into it a few times a week.
Don't kill it! Just put it away and replace it with a similar artificial plant you can find in the supermarkets. Plastics I mean. There should be something that is very similar that people won't even notice the difference or won't even notice that it's fake. Be careful to get a similar pot too!
Just overwater it. I used to do tropical plant maintenance in offices, and people would pour their coffee and water in plants near the cooler and kitchens. I used to put little notes in them saying ';Please DO NOT water Me!';, to no avail.
This is the best way to do it without anyone suspecting you!

Don't kill it! Just put it away and replace it with a similar artificial plant you can find in the supermarkets. Plastics I mean. There should be something that is very similar that people won't even notice the difference or won't even notice that it's fake. Be careful to get a similar pot too!
Just overwater it. I used to do tropical plant maintenance in offices, and people would pour their coffee and water in plants near the cooler and kitchens. I used to put little notes in them saying ';Please DO NOT water Me!';, to no avail.

To size-down an image, scale it. Instead of just compressing it. Then save it as a PNG, not a JPEG. When scaling, make it a little bigger than you want it to be because Yahoo! makes you crop it when uploading. You can choose how to crop it (if it works the same as it did a few months ago). I'll describe how to scale something in The GIMP. Any image manipulation program should have a similar function.
1. Open your picture, then go to the Image tab in the main window.
2. Select Scale Image.
3. Bring the larger value down to 200 pixels.
4. Leave the resolution at 72x72 (or whatever it is at).
5. Select Cubic from the Interpolation drop-down menu.
6. Make sure values are linked, by means of the little chain link icons.
7. Hit the Scale button and wait.
Then you want to save it as a PNG. So go to File %26gt; Save a Copy, and name the file with a .png file extention. A dialogue will come up with compression options. Simmer the tomato sauce and vodka in a heavy large skillet over low heat until the mixture reduces by 1/4, stirring often, about 20 minutes. Stir the cream into the tomato and vodka sauce. Simmer over low heat until the sauce is heated through. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and well blended.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes. Drain the pasta and transfer it to the pan with the sauce, and toss to coat.
Simple Tomato Sauce:
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
2 (32-ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
4 to 6 basil leaves
2 dried bay leaves
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, optional
In a large casserole pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic and saute until soft and translucent, about 2 minutes. Add celery and carrot and season with salt and pepper. Saute until all the vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, basil, and bay leaves and reduce the heat to low. Cover the pot and simmer for 1 hour or until thick. Remove bay leaves and taste for seasoning. If sauce tastes too acidic, add unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, to round out the flavor.
Pour half the tomato sauce into the bowl of a food processor. Process until smooth. Continue with remaining tomato sauce.
If not using all the sauce, allow it to cool completely and then pour 1 to 2 cup portions into plastic freezer bags. Freeze for up to 6 months.

2002 Ford ranger has recently began making a howling sound after the engine is warmed up, around the fan area?
The power steering pump may be low on fluid. But are you sure that howling sound isn't coming from the intake manifold area, more specifically the IAC (intake air control) valve... aka air by-pass valve? It is common for the Ranger and Explorer to emit a loud whine or hum in the engine compartment which is caused by a dirty or faulty IAC valve. I suggest you pull the black plastic cap off the IAC valve and pull the tiny felt filter out of the IAC air intake channel and see if that whine lessens or goes away. If it does then you need to remove and clean the IAC, and paying special attention to pull out that tiny filter under the black cap and clean it and the tiny air intake channel it filters. The noise occurs because the IAC air intake vent is restricted. If the howl is louder after cleaning the IAC then you did not thoroughly drain and dry all of the cleaner from the valve. She also created a flyer and paid some older kids to deliver them in her local area for all kinds of cakes.

It can be kind of intimidating to not have anything to do in public alone, but don't use the defense mechanisms like text messaging or something like that.
Also, all of those RA-sponsored things and stuff do, of course, seem lame, but who cares. They might be helpful. Even if they're not, there will be more people kind of out and around on the night when something like that is happening. You can even meet up with someone and dish about how lame these school-sponsored activities are if that better suits your fancy.
Class is good too. It's a really easy way to start talking to someone, and even exchange email addresses or phone numbers. That kind of thing really easily leads into an actual friendship.
Whenever anyone on your floor or whatever is going somewhere and you are available, GO!!! The most important thing to do is not worry and continue being yourself. Every other freshman on campus is going through THE EXACT SAME THING and are also looking for friends. In fact, I'd have to say the freshman year of college may be the easiest year in terms of making new friends and meeting new people. You'll do fine!
--for additional help, don't run out of class right away, there are always some folks standing around talking or trying to get the teacher's attention..TALK TO THEM.

i would try to join some on campus groups, get a job on campus, some of the outting and science clubs at my college are great, u could also try to sit with new peole during lunch( with out neglecting ur friends u already have) if u live in a dorm leave ur door open when ur inside and say hi to anyone who walks by or hang out in the hall it's self in my doorm hall we do the craziest funnest things and it help to get to know each other rather than throwing a ball aroung a cricle and saying everyones name, above all just have fun!!!!!!!!
Well, u must be yourself! At start be friendly to everyone and as the time goes by, you`ll see who is worth being your friend.... Don`t be shy to approach people u like .... And at the end, try to have fun as much as u can!
To make friends, be a friend :) That means, speaking up in class, setting up study groups, smiling at people you pass, accepting more invitations than you turn down, keeping your door open in your dorm, joining clubs and groups that interest you, getting involved with a sport, and generally putting yourself out in the mix of things where people will get to see your pretty face! The most important thing to do is not worry and continue being yourself. Every other freshman on campus is going through THE EXACT SAME THING and are also looking for friends. In fact, I'd have to say the freshman year of college may be the easiest year in terms of making new friends and meeting new people. You'll do fine!
--for additional help, don't run out of class right away, there are always some folks standing around talking or trying to get the teacher's attention..TALK TO THEM.
--the RA's at your school will probably have stuff (like movie nights or parties) go to them! :)

I've read a number of article/books about making your own counter tops and am ready to take the plunge and try it out - making a few test pieces anyway. I am sure you have studied on how to do this and I am sure you know what you are doing but I did too and I will tell you that my project came out good but it was hard work and took a long time to do it. I almost ripped it out more then once but at least I am the only one who see the mistakes.
I had to rent a lot of tools I have never seen before and found it was easier to follow marble guidelines. as that is kind of what your doing is making a marble counter top. Once I figured this out I learned on what tools to rent. and then the job started to go good.
I figure with my time at $50.00 an hour plus materials it cost me close to $15,000.00 to do and I think I could have it done for about $2,500.00 But it was a good learning and I am happy with the job.
One hint is to work the concrete until it turns black. Use a small trowel about 5 inches long to burn it or turn it black. Vibrate it good too. Set up a fan and keep the room cool so it does not dry out to fast and crack. Use plenty of water when you start to burn it.

I highly recommend the special mixes because they are much easier to work with, have less shrinkage and slow set time. When mixed with water, the concrete will seem rather dry and hard to work with at first, but once you get it in place you'll see. As a concrete guy, I can easily see the difference between countertop concrete and regular concrete.
For do-it-yourselfers, I also recommend keeping it simple. The dvd may show you some fancy finishes and techniques. It's not nearly as easy as they make it look.
Another decision you have to make is where to cast it, in place or off site. Remember that a countertop 2 inches thick weighs about 25 lbs per sq ft.

My friend works at a cancer clinic, and they have been advised to send any people who come in for treatment for testing if they have flu like symptoms. Since the treatment and in some cases the type of cancer causes ';flu-like symptoms'; in at least 80% of cancer patients, her department has been sending the majority of their patients to get tested.

well i work 2 jobs and help out my aunts busniss occasionally on the weekend... i earned 44,000 lst year... which seems like a lot...but then the government gets about 26% of that which minus apx 11,440... means i took home 32,560 divide that by 12 months apx 2,713.00 a month... and out of that i had to pay my mortgage which is 650.00 my utilites apx 150.00 my credit card bills which i have 3 that is about 350.00... food for the month... my car payment another 250.00... oil thats 175.00 a month maintence on the car apx 50 ... etc... as you see... money goes quickly...

I have a M105 S3074 Satellite.
Sometimes when I play some music, for using winamp. I get this rattling sound from the speakers in like 1 seconds intervals. When I restart the computer the rattling sound goes away. Sometimes when I play some music, for using winamp. I get this rattling sound from the speakers in like 1 seconds intervals. When I restart the computer the rattling sound goes away. Sounds like they are busted to me. If that is the case, you cannot fix them without replacing them. How can i make mask making fun for an after school drama group?
I have less then an hour. I have roughly 45 minutes. Its a mix of grade 6,7 and 8. I'm also from a native American teaching school. My cooperating teacher wants me to include culture in this. I'm not sure how in such a short time frame.How can i make mask making fun for an after school drama group?
well, yeah, they kind of put you in a pickle. it's certainly not the masks fault. they are incredibly fun and appeal to a wide range of ages. consider some alternatives:
-see if you could take this project thru a few sessions. i would suggest three. this way you could do a lesson on native american masks and their history (which is vitally important to including the culture aspect of your session - this might be a point to argue in favor of extending the session, IF that is even possible). because native americans used masks less for entertainment and more b/c of their spiritual beliefs, i think it's very important that this distinction be made. do 30 mins lecturing about the history of the native american mask and then do measurements and anything else to prepare for the next lesson. the second lesson would be actually making the mask. whether it be paper or paper mache. then the third session could be the decoration of the mask.
-if the multiple classes isn't going to work, i would suggest finding a very simple project and possibly doing a lecture while they're figuring it out. maybe even find some pictures to print out to inspire the kids or have them simply try to duplicate authentic masks. the main thing is, b/c of the time given AND the age group, you have to make it easier than just making a mask. you have to give them a GOAL, an objective...somewhere to go and the tools with which to get there. this will make something simple like making a mask from construction paper more difficult b/c they're attempting to replicate real masks with simple materials. you could also point out that native americans had simple materials to...as a matter of fact, you could do a little field trip post lecture to collect materials from outside that might help them with their masks.

Does anyone have ideas on hosting a card making event in a scrapbooking store?
As an associate of a scrapbook store that has recently relocated I was asked to come up with some ideas to get people to come in. We have offered discounts ect. Nothing really has worked. I love making cards and was hoping to set up something to bring people in- I have never done it before and would love some ideas.Does anyone have ideas on hosting a card making event in a scrapbooking store?
Try a make %26amp; take for cards...have basic supplies included in the base price (keep it cheap), then offer ';add ons'; at sale prices to entice people who haven't made cards before to take up the hobby.
Our local scrapbook store periodically has a Friday or Saturday night ';party';...they have munchies available, keep it lighthearted and fun, everyone's welcome to bring their own supplies (but there's always that ';one thing that'll make it perfect'; that needs to be purchased at the last minute at regular store price). My favorite ';parties'; there were the late night ones that ran from 8-midnight or later. It was a nice, relaxing time away from the kids and ';real life';.Does anyone have ideas on hosting a card making event in a scrapbooking store?

BUt give them the choice of 2 or 3 sets of stamps. They may want to make birthday, thinking of you or ??? cards.

With us crafters, it's really not too soon to start on Christmas. Make it fun for the participants and keep it simple.

Now, You say you replaced the front axle. Did you replace the whole front axle, or just the rotating wheels?
I had some trouble with squeaking on the rotating wheel, but it corrected itself when I replaced the wheel itself.

HI. Barbie and Bratz dolls are made out of vinyl. In order for them to be made there is first an artist or two involved in the process. The artist can either first draw the doll that they would like to create or they can just wing it and begin sculpting. Sculpting is done with sculpting clay. Some Sculpters use forms or molds but the good ones just use their hands and sculpting tools. They form the doll into what they want it to look like. Usually inside the head and arms they use styrofoam or tinfoil to create armatures for support of the clay. When using styrofoam it will shrink when heated leaving a hollow head, and limbs. Once the sculpter is satisified with the doll it is then baked in an oven. It can be a regular oven nothing fancy. Once the clay has cured (become hard) it is allowed to cool. Most of the sculpters I know send their clay sculpts to China for a mold to be made. Molds are very very expensive. That is why you see a lot of the same shapes in heads, bodies and limbs. With only the paint being different. For a vinyl baby doll one mold can cost $80,000.00 Molds are also only good for a limited amount of use. With Vinyl doll kits (doll parts that you make into a doll) they like to keep the use of the mold down to 250. This also increases the value of the kit. With Bratz and Barbies they most likely use the mold numerous times. This is why you will find flaws on barbies and Bratz and any other manufactured vinyl doll. After so many uses the mold starts to break down but in order to save money they will continue to use it. Once the mold is made and the vinyl is poured They have machines that paint the vinyl. They punch in codes that tell the machine which colors to use and where these colors are supposed to go. And that is how you make a Barbie or Bratz doll. Catherine individually sculpted each new figure, working from a number of reference paintings, photos or a live model.
All start out from a block of porcelain clay and depending on how complex the gesture to be captured, it may take days or weeks to complete the body and head position. Once created the limbs are separated from the body to enable more detailed work to be formed.
This model is not fired in the kiln, but moulded in plaster and from these moulds, Catherine creates a small number of limited edition dolls.
From the original clay sculpture Catherine moulds these forms ,using casting plaster to make multi piece slip cast moulds. Slip casting refers to the porous plaster, when the liquid clay slip, is poured into the hollow mould, the moister is draw out of the clay creating a thin shell inside on the moulds surface. The excess liquid clay is poured back out of the mould and a thin inner shell is left to firm. When released from the mould and dried this shell is commonly called green wear. Green wear has a chalky soft texture and must be smoothed down to eliminate any imperfections. Once in the kiln the wear may stay there for any thing up to 24 hours. Catherine works exclusively with porcelain clay and this clay will require the kiln reach above 1100 degrees to create the finished vitrified porcelain. This is the most critical stage of the dolls evolution, such extreme heat reduced the size of the green wear by approximately 12%. The wear is now called bisque and is prepared to receive one of many coats of colour detail. To adhere the colour to the bisque porcelain, a ground pigment and flux is applied and fired to 800 degrees in the kiln to melt the colour onto the surface of the work. To complete the transformation. From parts to full figure, each limb is attached to the body of the doll using elastic, enabling the limbs to be rotated for dressing and shipping.
SECOND PROCEDURE
Heads and Shoulder Plates
The heads and shoulder plates are ceramic with a cloth covering. Creation of the heads and shoulder plates takes a week from pouring to firing, allowing time for the greenware to dry before going into the kiln. The molds used for the dolls are purchased from various doll artists, including Dianna Effner, Donna Rubert, Ruth Mattingly and Rose Pinkul. Once the head is covered with fabric I paint the features and spray on a sealant for protection.
Arms, Legs, and Bodies
The arms are constructed with the same fabric as the head and shoulder plate which is 100% cotton fabric which I custom dye flesh color. The body and legs are flesh color broadcloth. I wire the fingers and arms to enable the doll to hold small items and be posed. Many of the dolls have legs that bend at the knee making it easier to have the dolls in a sitting position if desired. I make and stuff a cloth body appropriately sized for the head and shoulder plate.

Most of the doll dresses are made especially for the doll. I enjoy creating heirloom dresses using primarily batiste with lace, tucks, pin tucks, and occasionally embroidery designs. I also create outfits in prints and solids in country or modern styles.
For the 28 to 32 inch dolls I can occasionally purchase a child鈥檚 outfit and customize it to fit. For the smaller dolls (16 to 26 inch) it is usually necessary to create or adapt patterns.
At a minimum, outfits consist of dress, slip and pantaloons. Often I will include a pinafore and accessories to enhance the outfit.
Caring for Your Doll
My heirloom dolls are meant to be enjoyed outside a glass case. You will need to keep them from direct sunlight and protect them from pets that might chew the hands or feet.
Caring for these heirloom dolls is very simple. Since the faces are sprayed with acrylic sealer to protect them from soil, just dust your doll carefully with a nylon net duster, or other soft brush, or use a hair dryer on cool setting and blow the doll and the clothing. The fingers and arms may be posed by carefully bending them into the desired position.
Straight hairstyles may be brushed or combed to keep them smooth and silky. Trim uneven edges, if necessary. Use your fingers to fluff and rearrange curly hairstyles. Do not brush out the curls. The dolls are repairable if they should be unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident.

What are the processes that go into making a doll?
HI. Barbie and Bratz dolls are made out of vinyl. In order for them to be made there is first an artist or two involved in the process. The artist can either first draw the doll that they would like to create or they can just wing it and begin sculpting. Sculpting is done with sculpting clay. Some Sculpters use forms or molds but the good ones just use their hands and sculpting tools. They form the doll into what they want it to look like. Usually inside the head and arms they use styrofoam or tinfoil to create armatures for support of the clay. When using styrofoam it will shrink when heated leaving a hollow head, and limbs. Once the sculpter is satisified with the doll it is then baked in an oven. It can be a regular oven nothing fancy. Once the clay has cured (become hard) it is allowed to cool. Most of the sculpters I know send their clay sculpts to China for a mold to be made. Molds are very very expensive. That is why you see a lot of the same shapes in heads, bodies and limbs. With only the paint being different. For a vinyl baby doll one mold can cost $80,000.00 Molds are also only good for a limited amount of use. With Vinyl doll kits (doll parts that you make into a doll) they like to keep the use of the mold down to 250. This also increases the value of the kit. With Bratz and Barbies they most likely use the mold numerous times. This is why you will find flaws on barbies and Bratz and any other manufactured vinyl doll. After so many uses the mold starts to break down but in order to save money they will continue to use it. Once the mold is made and the vinyl is poured They have machines that paint the vinyl. They punch in codes that tell the machine which colors to use and where these colors are supposed to go. And that is how you make a Barbie or Bratz doll. FIRST PROCEDURE

Catherine individually sculpted each new figure, working from a number of reference paintings, photos or a live model.
All start out from a block of porcelain clay and depending on how complex the gesture to be captured, it may take days or weeks to complete the body and head position. Once created the limbs are separated from the body to enable more detailed work to be formed.
This model is not fired in the kiln, but moulded in plaster and from these moulds, Catherine creates a small number of limited edition dolls.
From the original clay sculpture Catherine moulds these forms ,using casting plaster to make multi piece slip cast moulds. Slip casting refers to the porous plaster, when the liquid clay slip, is poured into the hollow mould, the moister is draw out of the clay creating a thin shell inside on the moulds surface. The excess liquid clay is poured back out of the mould and a thin inner shell is left to firm. When released from the mould and dried this shell is commonly called green wear. Green wear has a chalky soft texture and must be smoothed down to eliminate any imperfections. Once in the kiln the wear may stay there for any thing up to 24 hours. Catherine works exclusively with porcelain clay and this clay will require the kiln reach above 1100 degrees to create the finished vitrified porcelain. This is the most critical stage of the dolls evolution, such extreme heat reduced the size of the green wear by approximately 12%. The wear is now called bisque and is prepared to receive one of many coats of colour detail. To adhere the colour to the bisque porcelain, a ground pigment and flux is applied and fired to 800 degrees in the kiln to melt the colour onto the surface of the work. To complete the transformation. From parts to full figure, each limb is attached to the body of the doll using elastic, enabling the limbs to be rotated for dressing and shipping.
SECOND PROCEDURE
Heads and Shoulder Plates
The heads and shoulder plates are ceramic with a cloth covering. Creation of the heads and shoulder plates takes a week from pouring to firing, allowing time for the greenware to dry before going into the kiln. The molds used for the dolls are purchased from various doll artists, including Dianna Effner, Donna Rubert, Ruth Mattingly and Rose Pinkul. Once the head is covered with fabric I paint the features and spray on a sealant for protection.
Arms, Legs, and Bodies
The arms are constructed with the same fabric as the head and shoulder plate which is 100% cotton fabric which I custom dye flesh color. The body and legs are flesh color broadcloth. I wire the fingers and arms to enable the doll to hold small items and be posed. Many of the dolls have legs that bend at the knee making it easier to have the dolls in a sitting position if desired. I make and stuff a cloth body appropriately sized for the head and shoulder plate.

How can I lock my door without making any permanent changes?
I want to lock my door but I cant drill holes in it or the frame to insert a simple ';bar lock.'; Any other ideas? And how hard and expensive would it be to dissasemble my doorknob and attach one with a built in lock???How can I lock my door without making any permanent changes?
You have a couple of options, first you can put a doorknob with a lock like on your houses front door on it - that one has a key that you use from outside. Second you can put a doorknob with a lock on the inside like your bathroom. You can get either for about $15.00 and put them on using only a Phillips head screwdriver in about 10 minutesHow can I lock my door without making any permanent changes?

iam assuming this is an interior door so what you need to do is go pick up a lock-set that is labeled interior privatcy just like a bathroom door what you have on it now is called a passage knob you can get one for about $ 15.00 dollars and it takes 10 min to install
My Mom got me a kick bar that props under the door knob and has a ribbed foot to grab the floor. I tell you what, no body is getting in with that in place. I even take it on road trips to use in the hotels. Love it....
changing a door knob is simple. I'm a 65 yr old woman and just did it last week. And they are cheap. Just get one with that built in lock you mentioned for less than 20 bucks.
From the inside wedge a chair under the knob.
Un screw the screws and replace with a locking knob set. It's so easy I can do it!!!!
