I was fiddling around with Garage Band On my friends Mac and i really liked it.
Iwas just wondering what the best FREE software is. I dont want to pay anything because i just started; any suggestions?What is the best free music making software?

Sorry Aeneas, but i have to disagree with ur answer.
The MAGIX Music Maker for example is better than GarageBand, as GB is a simple copy of the MM.
The MM is far more powerful than GB....
There is a trailversion and a special free version as far as i know...
