How can i help a friend who is making dumb decisions?

She is doing drugs and having a lot of sex with anybody. She says it's all in fun, but she's back talking to her parents and saying stuff like they don't know what they're talking about. When really, they know what's best.





She wont listen to me if i just say it, how can i really get it through her head?





I'm a senior and she's a junior in highschool.How can i help a friend who is making dumb decisions?
You may have to talk to her parents. If she's doing drugs, she's probably not thinking straight. So, no matter what you say to her, it's not going to sink in.


Her parents need to step in and take her to a therapist or whatever they need to do. At her age, she's too young to be allowed to mess up her life as drugs and random sex can do.


You might want to talk to her about what she wants to do in the future. I.E. if she ever wants kids, some of those STD's can make that impossible.

Well, see, that was like me, minus the sex.


No matter what ANYONE told me, i was still doing what I wanted.


It took me a while to get back on my feet, and if it hadn't been for a couple of good friends and my mom, I would still be doing the same thing.The best advice, keep talking,don't give up and support her when worst comes to worst.A lot of people who do this change.As far as the drugs, it depends on what she is doing.The only drug you should let her do is weed.It's a relaxation.Just try to hear where she's coming from,and do what you can.If you honestly feel like nothing's going to help her, try talking to some of her other friends or the parents, this will defiantely piss her off,but if it helps her in the long run, you did the right thing.In alot of cases, the parents don't usually mention that a friend told them what was going on,so you should be safe on the parent front.
