Should I cook the corn before making corn fritters?

I making a weight watchers recipie for corn fritters and the recipie calls for ';4 medium corn on the cob, kernels removed with a knife';. Should I boil the corn first?Should I cook the corn before making corn fritters?
No need to cook the corn... the corn kernels will cook when you cook the fritter.





Technically, you can eat good fresh corn raw. Nothing like home grown pulled straight from the stalk.Should I cook the corn before making corn fritters?
Chef's Market Corn Fritters





1 cup creamed corn


1 cup whole kernel corn


2 large eggs


2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


2 teaspoons baking powder


1/2 teaspoon sugar


Salt and freshly ground black pepper


Vegetable oil, for frying





Mix all the ingredients except the oil together until well blended.





Heat 1/2-inch vegetable oil in a wide frying pan over medium-high heat. Drop the batter by heaping tablespoonfuls into the hot oil being careful not to overcrowd them in the pan. Cook, turning once, until browned on both sides, about 1 minute per side. Drain and serve warm.

i pulled these recipes out to check and neither one says cook the corn. good luck. you could try these also if you like.

Cut the kernels from the cob and cook, then allow to cool a little before adding to the mix.
